The configuration of logistic network in pharmaceutical industry requires taking into consideration macro-environment conditions including in particular legal and political factors and also conditions with regard to supply chain internal structure. Macro-environment elements are very essential with regard to both distribution and purchasing planning where applicable legal and executive regulations determine network configuration. This article presents results from studies conducted in a production company from chemical industry that is a supplier within drugs supply chain. Analysis of risks and opportunities and impact of particular factors on relationships between units shall provide support for decisions of the central unit. According to this study the planned network shall not be a static one, but on the contrary shall be complex, flexible structure that shall respond dynamically to changes in the environment. Companies that plan to be included within pharmaceutical industry supply network shall consider not only obstacles related to entry on this market along with legal and formal requirements but also relatively high logistic costs that may follow.
