AN APPLICATION OF SPARE SUPPLIES MANAGEMENT FOR WAREHOUSE SUPPLIES OPTIMIZATION USING CLASSICAL METHODS - CASE STUDY

Piotr Cyplik

Abstract: The decision regarding the shape of the supply levels in the delivery zone depends on the solution of three mutually connected problems: What physical goods should be stored? What amount of goods should be ordered to recreate the stored supply levels? When a trade order should be issued to replenish the supply levels? In the case of the first problem, one should make a decision if supplies should be kept for all sorts of goods or if only selected goods are stored. Solving the remaining two problems allows the stored supply levels to be specified. Many different solutions to the shaping of optimal supply levels in companies were suggested in the last 50 years. We present a short description of the best known ones below.
Keywords: supplies management models, separating point, ABC analysis, supplies replenishing
