The paper sums up the results of the research project MINERVA. The Minerva system contains the supply of up-to-date traffic information of the current tour area for the driver on a mobile device as a technical intention. Scientific result will be the conclusions in what quantity the routing of the driver changed by support with traffic information and of which quality the intuitive routing comparing to the dynamic routing is.

The article describes issues of supply chain risk management. The paper contains characteristic of specific power resource (that is Liquefied Natural Gas) supply chain and identification of different types of risks in this supply chain. The article performs also risk estimation methods, which can be applied in LNG supply chain analysis. The main purpose of the article is to perform issue connected to LNG supply chain risk management.

Analysis describes the transportation system of petroleum products, namely diesel oil and ethyl gasoline, from oil refineries to bulk consumers. In order to analyse the subject, available macroeconomic data as well as information from biggest fuel producers in Poland was taken under consideration. Petroleum products transportation system in Poland is based on fuel pipelines supplemented by railway transport. The bulk consumers are fuel bases that provide storage and reloading services. Spatial analysis of fuel distribution network in Poland shows that number, size and localization of fuel bases does not meet present and future requirements of fuel markets in the country. Therefore after performing a verification of existing network, localization of new bases was indicated and new distribution network was described. In order to supply new bases with petroleum products, new sections of pipelines were also planned. The final part of analysis includes general and detailed conclusions considering the development of fuel distribution system in Poland.

Logistics implications of chaos theory
Cezary Mańkowski

Uniwersytet Gdański, Sopot, Polska
The aim of this article is identification of the chaos main forms and their logistics implications (examples, sources, instruments). Bifurcation, intermittency and strange attractors are recognized within economics and management sciences with their logistics examples as logistics function, bull-whip effect, innovations and changes of logistics parameters. The inside and outside environment of logistics system is regarded both as a source of chaos in logistics and a source of methods for counteracting. They include management methods and tools generally accepted, especially integration and coordination.

Article presents a comparative analysis of selected concepts of managing material flows in the distribution logistics. This is an analysis of the similarities and differences according to selected criteria, such as: the degree of integration, focus on stocks, buffer form, the form of safety stocks and the concentration of stock in the distribution network. Subject to comparative analysis were the concepts of: ROP (Re-order point), ROC (Re-order Cycle) which belong to the classical inventory management, the concepts of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and DRP (Distribution Requirement Planning) which are examples of aggregated planning, as well as concepts based on extensive collaboration of partners in the supply chain such as CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting & Replenishment), VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory).

In pursuit of the essence of logistic potential of an enterprise
Mariusz Jedliński
1
University of Szczecin, Szczecin, Polska
The paper, which aims to be a starting point for a scientific exploration, presents considerations on the essence and importance of the "logistic potential of an enterprise". A hypothesis has been adopted proposing that the lack of a precise description of semantic fields of terms used in literature leads to their fuzzy interpretation. When assessing the context of many expressions used in literature on the subject, one has the impression that typically these concepts fail to be understood unambiguously. Therefore, it has been defined as the ability of logistics systems within an enterprise to provide maximum output of logistic service in a given time. It is defined by the client and represents a compromise between the time expected by the client and the time declared as feasible in the system. Also, sources of different interpretations have been indicated, as well as the importance of the "capacity" of the logistic system and the rarely mentioned aspect of system "intelligence". The role of "logistic competences" represented by the enterprise is pointed out.
