COMPUTER ASSISTANCE OF MANAGEMENT OF VEHICLES FLEET AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE TRANSPORT - FORWARDING COMPANIES OF SME SECTOR

Abstract: To properly and effectively manage a fleet and relationships with clients in transportation and forwarding trade it is necessary to use the most advanced IT and telecommunicational technologies. Their role is becoming more and more essential every day. More and more customers demand from the forwarders flexibility, speed and wide scope of services beginning with shipping goods of any quantity and size to different countries, through customs clearance, warehousing and distribution to all parts of Poland. Economic development, increasing clients' requirements and competition make forwarders continuously improve the quality of services keeping the delivery time. It makes the forwarding system an effective information flow synchronized with the flow of documents and goods. It requires appropriate IT technologies which point out companies' place on the market. The report presents the results of a survey concerning the functionality range of an application. It describes the software being created for transportation and forwarding trade companies of the MSP sector.
